Aracely is super nice and was helping us with everything we needed :). The room was very cute and the bed soo comfortable with soft and warm blankets :) There's a kitchen to prepare your own food, alternatively you have the opportunity to eat at Mateospaxi's restaurant. There are little shops and little restaurants nearby as well. Aracely is also organising tours to the mountains and volcanoes and everything for fair prices! :). Thank you for everything!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Super friendly and helpful owner who gave great tips for hiking in the area. Comfy, quiet, and clean room with a shared bathroom. Tranquil village location that is easily accessible by public transportation.
No access to a hang-out area and kitchen, which was a bit disappointing. No heating in the rooms, although extra blankets were provided to keep warm.

We spent 2 weeks at Mateospaxi and felt like it was our home away from home. Araceli, the host, was extremely helpful, friendly, and always went the extra mile to make us happy. The beautiful interiors, comfortable beds, and hot water at all times made our stay very comfortable. We loved the fantastic surroundings and local vibe, with great affordable "restaurants" nearby. The rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views of several volcanoes. The location was perfect for visiting Cotopaxi and other volcanoes in the area.
We do recommend this hotel.

The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure all guests were comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby national parks and acclimating to the high altitude. The rooms were clean and quiet.
There was a lack of signage, making it difficult to initially find the guesthouse. the presence of stray dogs in the neighborhood, while friendly, could be disruptive at night.
